Nomination Eisvogel Award for the most sustainable production 2022/2023 for:
Lu von Loser
During the production of the second season of this eight-part dramedy series, Letterbox Filmproduktion and Darling Point used the “Green Toolkit” web tool to inform and communicate with the team. The catering survey led to the film crew opting for exclusively vegetarian and vegan food.
“The ‘Green Toolkit’ was used to record CO2 emissions and raise awareness among team members, as all heads of department and production drivers had to record the CO2 emissions for their respective areas. When refueling, the production drivers were able to scan their consumption using a QR code on their smartphone.”
Christopher Albrodt, Production Manager
More about Lu von Loser and Green Producing:
Thanks to 25 veggie days versus one meat day and the absence of high-voltage generators, CO2 emissions were significantly reduced during this production. The use of high-voltage current was not required for this production, as existing premises near the motifs were used instead of mask-costume mobiles or recreation mobiles and the lighting equipment consisted exclusively of LED lamps. The “green toolkit” was developed by green consultant Roman Russo, winner of the Eisvogel Award for Sustainable Film Productions 2022, who also advised Lu von Loser on sustainability issues.
