At the Greentech.LIVE Conference (Spring 2023), Cologne-based filmmaker and green film expert Roman Russo will present the “Green Toolkit” (GTK) – a platform with a CO2 calculator that has been specially developed for sustainable film and TV productions.

It can be used to comply with the “Green Shooting” standards in order to reduce the environmental impact of film productions through appropriate measures.
In addition to carbon accounting, the “Green Toolkit” provides numerous tools that simplify the procedure and creation of necessary documents for submission for film funding from the FFA or state agencies.
Since 2023, only films that meet various sustainability criteria have been eligible for funding.
Roman Russo was the first winner of the “Eisvogel – Prize for Sustainable Film Production” awarded by the BMUV in 2022.
